IIM Shillong’s entrepreneurship summit on October 21 and 22

i-Cube, the Entrepreneurship cell of IIM Shillong will be hosting entrepreneurship summit ‘Emerge 2K17’. IIM is organizing the event since 2012.

The two-day summit, consisting of expert talks, panel discussions, workshops, business-plan and case study competitions, is also an initiative to recognize and felicitate aspiring entrepreneurs of the country, especially the north-east, for their contributions to their respective fields.

According to IIM, the theme of this year’s event, Embracing Northeast, resonates with the modern-day startup ideas and intends to mine the opportunities that lie untapped within Northeast India.

The two-day event will feature eminent personalities like Vijay Nair, Founder and CEO, OML, Biswapati Sarkar, Creative Director, TVF, Amit Chaudhary, Founder and COO, Lenskart, Manash Chaliha, Founder, Organic Majuli, Phanindra Sama, Founder and CEO, redBus, Avelo Ray, MD, Kolkata Ventures, Amanjot Malhotra, VP, Delhi Angels, Ahmed Aftab Naqvi, Co-Founder and CEO, Gozoop Online Pvt. Ltd., Aditi Gupta, MD, Design Thinkers and Prashant Chaurasia, VP, Chatur Ideas.

The past five editions of EmergE have seen the participation of experts from Google, Samsung, PayTm, RBI, SBI, Dabbawalas, Piyush Mishra and Arunachalam Muruganantham amongst many others.
