IIM Rohtak completes its first-ever final placements process

IIM Rohtak has completed its first-ever final placements process with the highest domestic offer of Rs 28.5 lakh per annum and an average salary of Rs 12.22 lakh per annum.

KOLKATA: IIM Rohtak has completed its first-ever final placements process with the highest domestic offer of Rs 28.5 lakh per annum and an average salary of Rs 12.22 lakh per annum.

The final placement season of the first batch of 2012 at IIM Rohtak saw 27 companies participating in the process, making 58 offers to a batch of 47 students.

Several students have received domestic offers in excess of Rs 25 lakh per annum.

The companies that participated in the final placements include HSBC, Pfizer, Tata Motors, BPCL, HDFC, Tata Steel, Cognizant, Mother Dairy, Yes Bank, Tata Power, Max New York Life Insurance, Berger Paints, RBI, Titan and Ernst & Young among others.

Around 28 per cent of the students will be taking up assignments in the financial sector across profiles like investment banking, corporate banking, equity research, investment analysis and corporate strategy. Marketing profiles were opted for by 32% of the participants. Roles were offered in brand management, rural marketing, business development, sales &marketing, and b2b marketing.

This apart, 40 per cent students secured offers in consulting, operations, it and general management profiles.

Emerging players such as green ventures also vied for talent by offering attractive salary and perks. Companies have also revealed plans to post the selected candidates at international locations.
