IIM-L inducts 35.4% female students this year
Though majority of students still have engineering background, their percentage has come down compared to the previous years, the institute said in a statement.
The institute's focus this year was to ensure gender diversity, which has led to a total of 166 female students being this year. This includes 35.4% in PGP (144) and 50% (23) in PGP ABM. The batch of 2011-2013 saw around 14% of female students, whereas this year the total % of students (in both the programmes) is around 37%.
