IIM Kashipur sees 40% jump in summer internship offers

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management ( IIM) Kashipur has recorded a 40 per cent jump in summer internship offers this year, according to the institute.

Stipends went up by an average 29 per cent, the institute, which recently concluded its summer internship, said. Two students were offered stipends of Rs 4.38 lakh each, which is 61 per cent above last year’s top offer.

The internship period lasts a little less than two months.

First-time recruiters at the campus included Boeing, PwC, Reliance Industries, TVS Tyres, CCIL, Sebi, Bajaj Allianz and Wockhardt. Startups like Ola, Urban Clap, TravelUnravel and Droom were also present.

Unlike last year, when IT/services sector dominated, this year manufacturing and energy sectors took away maximum students as interns.
