IIM Calcutta sets up the ‘Lalit Mohanka & Madan Mohanka Centre for Excellence in Entrepreneurship & Innovation’

IIM Calcutta has launched the Lalit Mohanka & Madan Mohanka Centre of Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, funded by Madan Mohanka, executive chairman of Kolkata-based Tega Industries, which designs and manufactures consumables for the mining, mineral processing and material handling industries.

The vision of the Centre is to make India the global leader in entrepreneurship and innovation through education, technology, research and thought leadership.

In tandem, the Centre will look at creating entrepreneurial ecosystems that promote sustainable economic growth and job creation. It will act as a forum to host noted academicians, researchers, scholars, educators, professionals and practitioners, encouraging them to share their research findings and experiences in entrepreneurship development.


The Centre would also see symposiums on various themes. The doctoral students of the institute with interest in this domain would also get opportunities to discuss their research with senior academicians and professionals in colloquiums to be hosted by the Centre.
