KOLKATA: The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C) has restructured the post graduate programme (PGP) curriculum by merging environment, sociology and regional development into one.

Dean, programme initiative, IIM-C, Saibal Chattopadhyay said that this was a major restructuring of the PGP curriculum done at the institute in recent times.

He said that all faculty members of the erstwhile three groups and the Centre for Development and Environment Policy would become members of the newly formed group, public policy and management. Manish Thakur would be the coordinator of the new group.

The restructured curriculum would be made effective from the current academic session.

The new group had been made multi-disciplinary and would dwell on issues like challenges of policy innovation, governance for public service delivery, relationship between government and industry among others.
