IIM-C raises fees for PG courses to Rs seven lakh

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta on Saturday announced that it will charge a fee of Rs 7 lakh for its post graduate management programmes for the academic session 2008-10.

KOLKATA: Indian Institute of Management Calcutta on Saturday announced that it will charge a fee of Rs 7 lakh for its post graduate management programmes for the academic session 2008-10.

The board of governors at its meeting on February 26 decided to raise the fee from Rs 4 lakh to Rs 7 lakh for the session 2008-10, an IIM-C spokesman told the media.

At the convocation of the institute, it was announced that the new fee would be Rs 7 lakh as decided. For the first year, the fee would be Rs 3 lakh and Rs 4 lakh for the subsequent year.

While IIM-Ahmedabad had raised the fee to Rs 11.5 lakh, IIM Bangalore had fixed the fees at Rs 8 lakh.

IIM-C conferred fellowships to 10 students and diplomas to 245 others.
