IIM Bangalore launches a course to groom women politicians

IIMB aunched a certification course on Indian women in leadership which will train students on skills, knowledge and different aspects required.

BANGALORE: Indian Institute of Bangalore launched a certification course on Indian women in leadership which will train students on skills, knowledge and different aspects required to hold important posts of governance.

A statement released said the aim was to strengthen the ability to contest elections , lobby for their rights and be more active, since women hold a around 10% of seats in the parliament.. The three month course will start on July 16 th.

Lectures, field visits and studies conducted in Delhi and Singapore will be part of the program, which will be conducted by centre of public policy, an ideation team created by IIM Bangalore and Indian Government. When contacted, the media coordinator at IIM Bangalore said that more details were not available.
