IIM-B signs MOU with Singapore Management University in management research

Singapore Management University and (IIM-B) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in management research and education.

BANGALORE: Singapore Management University ( SMU) and Indian institute of Management - Bangalore ( IIM-B) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in management research and education.

"The rapid emergence of many Asian nations, with India and China as forerunners, has resulted in the region's robust growth. Given the strong presence of both Bangalore and Singapore in Asia, we look forward to the IIMB-SMU collaboration playing a major role in the development of the Bangalore-Singapore educational and commercial axis." said Rajendra K. Srivastava, SMU's Provost and Deputy President (Academic Affairs) in a statement.

The MoU will give boost to joint research and publication by the faculty members, support research projects and faculty exchanges, work together for seminars and workshops and have more student mobility across two colleges.

The partnership with SMU will reinforce this strategic direction. "It will provide access to research and teaching opportunities in South-East Asia and create global opportunities and visibility for our students and faculty,” said Pankaj Chandra, Director, IIM Bangalore.
