IIM Ahmedabad appoints professor Errol D’Souza as Director-in-charge
Professor D'Souza will be the interim director until the search committee appoints a new director in the place of Ashish Nanda who resigned in April this year before the end of his term.
Nanda, a former professor of Harvard Law School was the first professor from a foreign institute to head an IIM. He will be completing four years of the five-year term he was appointed for, when he relinquishes office on September 1.
Errol D’Souza is a Professor of Economics, and the Dean of Faculty at IIM Ahmedabad.
Prof. D’Souza studied Economics and Statistics at the University of Mumbai and obtained his Ph.D. as a University Grants Commission National Research Fellow from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
