IIM-A to organise first PGPX alumni meet

AHMEDABAD: Students of Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX) at the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad ( IIM-A) will organise the first PGPX alumni meet in November. The number of PGPX graduates will cross 500 mark with the current batch.

The one-year executive programme was launched in 2006 with aim to produce senior level executives for corporate world. PGPX was ranked 11th in the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings of the world’s top 100 business schools of 2012. The programme caters to the finest professionals in the industry with substantive work experience.

The first alumni meet will be organised along with the PGPX flagship business event, ConneXion 2012 on November 2 and 3.

“Our alumni have reached the highest echelons of management in various industries. Many have now occupied the CXO level positions or have started their own ventures. Through this gathering, we hope to consolidate an organic corporate bonding among the alumni, IIMA, and the students of the current academic year. ” said Satish Deodhar, chairperson of the PGPX programme at IIM-A.

PGPX alumni from across industries and from all over the country are expected to attend this event. "The Alum Meet is expected to provide a perfect networking platform for current and past students. Special networking events like the Entrepreneurship-Chai and Alum-Talk are being organised on campus to provide maximum value addition during the meet," said a PGPX student.
