IIM-A launches new PG course
The IIM-A has launched a new post-graduate programme in Public Management and Policy (PGP-PMP) for mid-career managers, administrators and professionals.
Meanwhile, IIM-Kozhikode has hiked the fee for its post-graduate management programme from the coming academic year.
The annual fee for the first year will be Rs 1.90 lakh, while for the second year of the course it will be Rs 1.95 lakh, IIM-K director Prof Krishna Kumar said. The fee for the first year currently is Rs 1.5 lakh and second year Rs 1.65 lakh.
IIM-A Bakul Dholakia, while addressing the first batch of 33 students of the PGP-PMP, said: “With the launch of this one-year full time course, IIM-A has become the only institute to have full portfolio of programmes in the field of management.”
“Four years ago, the institute had just two programmes — the entry-level PGP course and the doctoral programme,” he remarked.
With the addition of this new course, the country’s premier business school has five MBA-level programmes which covers the widest levels of segments in the field of management, he added.
IIM-A also offers a two-year PGP course in agri-business management and one-year PGP in management for executives.
