IIM-A considering its campus in Hyderabad

The Congress government in the southern state has offered to provide 150 acres of land at token rate to set up the campus in the outskirts of Hyderabad.

AHMEDABAD: City-based Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A) is considering a proposal of Andhra Pradesh (AP) Government to set up a satellite campus in Hyderabad, IIM-A sources said today.

The Congress government in the southern state has offered to provide 150 acres of land at token rate to set up the campus in the outskirts of Hyderabad.

"We have received a proposal from AP Government regarding setting up a satellite campus there. The proposal is under consideration and the board will take a final decision regarding the matter in the next meeting," IIM-A director Samir Barua said.

He, however, refused to divulge further details. Meanwhile, IIM-A sources said a delegation of senior officials from AP visited the institute to discuss the issue recently.
