IGNOU to offer corporate programmes for execs
A central management committee comprising academicians and experts from the corporate sector will oversee the implementation of the courses and their functioning.

NEW DELHI: With a range of innovative programmes up its sleeve, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will now offer corporate-specific modules to update skills of executives and understand requirements in the corporate sector, while revising its curricula.
���The programmes will also reach out to employees who are yet to acquire a formal qualification and those aspiring to switch sectors,��� said Ignou vice-chancellor VN Rajasekharan Pillai.
���The corporate programmes would be dynamic in nature...Designed in a manner which will enhance vertical mobility of an employee within and across the sector,��� he said.
A central management committee comprising academicians and experts from the corporate sector will oversee the implementation of the courses and their functioning. The committee will also be entrusted with preparing the programme, said the vice-chancellor.
The programmes would be delivered at work places through various mediums, he said, adding that a team will also look into the technological integration of the programmes.
