ICSI inks MoU with UK-based securities institute
Institute of Company Secretaries (ICSI) today entered into an agreement with UK-based Securities and Investment Institute (SII) to facilitate specialised study in various areas of management and market.

NEW DELHI: Institute of Company Secretaries (ICSI) today entered into an agreement with UK-based Securities and Investment Institute (SII) to facilitate specialised study in various areas of management and market. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) aims at enhancing skills and competence that is needed in view of changing financial domestic market in the country, ICSI Secretary and CEO N K Jain said. The students and members of ICSI can avail 30 per cent rebate on the full international price of the SII technical unit examination.
SII will also offer recognition to ICSI students who have passed the executive programme, facilitating them to obtain international investment administration qualification. SII has also recognised ICSI for automatic membership at the associate level.
ICSI Centre for Corporate Research and Training at Navi Mumbai has been offered accredition as a training provider to conduct direct training for SII exams. SII has a global presence and the qualification from the institute is recognised by 45 of the 50 investment bankers across the globe. With new products like currency futures and derivatives coming in the market, the need for skilled manpower becomes all the more necessary.
