IBM India announces shared university research grants for 2013

IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, Anna University, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur, Cummins College of Engineering for Women and IIM Udaipur are among the institutes that have won the projects.

NEW DELHI: Technology major IBM today announced the award of different research-based projects related to analytics and cloud to Indian institutes, including IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur, for 2013 under its Shared University Research programme.

IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, Anna University, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, (VNIT) Nagpur, Cummins College of Engineering for Women and IIM Udaipur are among the institutes that have won the projects.

The award will result in technical collaboration between the institutes and relevant IBM experts and also provide access to IBM software required for the successful completion of the projects, the company said in a statement.
