“Shankar will lead Great Lakes Gurgaon’s next phase of growth and further strengthen the institute’s commitment to delivering industry-relevant and future-focused management education,” the institute said in a statement.
Shankar earlier served as associate professor of entrepreneurship at Nord University, Norway, and as programme director and professor of strategy and entrepreneurship at Great Lakes, Chennai.
According to the statement, he has been empanelled as an entrepreneurship expert by the Ministry of External Affairs.
“It is an honour to lead Great Lakes Gurgaon as its Director. Great Lakes stands for academic rigor, innovation, business relevance, and a strong commitment to developing responsible leaders,” Shankar said in the statement.
Mohan Lakhamraju, chairman, Great Lakes Institute of Management, said, “His (Shankar’s) global outlook, entrepreneurial experience, and academic leadership will further strengthen the institute’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and industry relevance.”
