Government has santioned IITM in Kakinada: Pallam Raju

The union minister was in Kakinada to inaugurate boats club park in Boat Club modernised at a cost of Rs 60 lakh.

RAJAHUMUNDRY (AP): The government has approved setting up of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Kakinada, Union Minister for Human Resources Development M M Pallam Raju said here today.

"The government has sanctioned an Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. All the necessary efforts are being taken to set up the institute very soon," he said.

The union minister was in Kakinada to inaugurate boats club park in Boat Club modernised at a cost of Rs 60 lakh.

"Students in the district will get better education and employment opportunities through the IIIT," Raju said.
