Godrej signs MoU with the Institute of Chemical Technology

MUMBAI: The Godrej Group has inked a pact with Institute of Chemical Technology for starting an endowment chair -'Dr. Burjor P. Godrej Distinguished Professor of Green Chemistry and Sustainability Engineering’.

The MoU marks birth centenary of Dr. Burjor Pirojsha Godrej. The Group will donate Rs 40 lakh every year as an endowment fund to help set up the chair. ‘Burjor Godrej, an inventor, passionate researcher, doyen of industry, is considered a pioneer of the soap and oleochemical industry, stated the release.

“Our partnership with ICT will help to inspire exceptional individuals in the field of green chemistry and sustainability engineering,” said Nadir Godrej, managing director of Godrej Industries and Chairman, Godrej Agrovet in a release.
