Focus on Kerala at US varsity meet

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A three-day meet in Silicon Valley, California in September will have its focus on Kerala, as professionals and academics discuss the topic, ‘Innovation – A tool for fostering entrepreneurship and regional economic development: Learnings from the Silicon Valley experience’.

The conference is being initiated by the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), and the Asian School of Business, here and is supported by the Kerala Global Support Network (KGSN) and KPMG India.

ASB member secretary G Vijaya Raghavan said the learnings from Silicon Valley that are relevant for Kerala would be useful for business leaders and policy makers here.

KGSN founder Arun Kumar said the discussions were expected to generate learnings particularly in the biotech, software and clean technology areas.
