Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who along with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was present on the occasion said that these foreign universities would be set up in a 250-acre campus in Navi Mumbai that is being developed as an Education Hub.
"We are keen to make Mumbai into a global education hub, we are in talks with five more foreign universities to set up their campuses here (Navi Mumbai). This would benefit our students as the world's best universities are being set up here so that students who find it difficult to go abroad can do so here at the same universities. This would bring accessibility and affordability as the education here would cost just 25 percent of what it would cost in these universities abroad," said Fadnavis.
He added, "Students who don't have resources to go abroad can study here, we have created the ecosystem so that no one is left out, no dream is killed."
