Fees in Kendriya Vidyalayas in for hike?
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan could consider raising the fee for students when its board of governors meets here tomorrow.
Indications are that the hike could be as high as Rs 1250 per month from about Rs 300 per month at present. The last time the Sangathan had effected a fee hike was in 2009.
While KVs charge fee under different heads, sources said the hike could be effected under the Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi head.
The assumption behind raising the fee is that the central government employees are entitled to reimbursement of tuition fee of their wards upto Rs 1250 per month, sources said.
The meeting of the board of governors is expected to be chaired by HRD Minister M M Pallam Raju.
The meeting could also finalise the new logo of the KV.
