ERA to introduce course for recruitment agencies

The Executive Recruiters Association (ERA), which comprises over 100 leading recruitment firms, is all set to introduce a diploma course for them.


CHENNAI: The Executive Recruiters Association (ERA), which comprises over 100 leading recruitment firms, is all set to introduce a diploma course for them.

The course, whose modalities have not been etched out as yet, will enable recruitment agencies to certify themselves as Recruitment Specialists, Avtar Career Creators CEO Saundarya Rajesh, one of the members of ERA, said here on Friday.

The course would lay down the code of ethics for recruiters and help them understand the recruitment process and its methods and tools.

Speaking to reporters to announce ERA's national conference here on July 7, she said topics like identifying more employable talent among women and the physically challenged would be discussed.

Explaining the thrust areas of the convention, K Pandiarajan, Managing Director, Ma Foi Management Consultants, said Immigration Act,which has been pending for several years now and forming a Manpower Export Promotion Council, would figure in the conference.

The issue of delivering the 'organised industry' status for 'flexi staff' would also be discussed, he said.
