Educomp plans Rs 1,500 crore investment in 100 new schools

JAIPUR: Educomp Infrastructure & School Management (EISML), a subsidiary of Educomp Solutions Limited (ESL), is planning to rollout 100 new schools across the country in next couple of years involving an investment of around Rs 1,500 crore.

Presently, the company operates 56 schools under three brands — The Millennium School, Takshila and Universal Academy.

While Millenium schools are targeted at tier I and big cities, Takshila and Universal Academy will be opening in smaller cities.

For this the company will be entering into agreements with real estate owners and developers where infrastructure (land and building) would actually be owned by someone else while Educomp would come in only as school operator in providing practices, curriculum, content, teacher training, etc.
