Educomp gets Rs 109-cr contract from Karnataka Govt

Education solutions provider Educomp has signed a Rs 109-crore deal with the Karnataka Government to provide computer-aided education in 1,571 schools of the state.

NEW DELHI: Education solutions provider Educomp has signed a Rs 109-crore deal with the Karnataka Government to provide computer-aided education in 1,571 schools of the state.

As per the agreement signed with the Department State Education Research and Training (DSERT), Karnataka, Educomp would complete the project over a period of five years, the company said in a statement today.

Educomp has also signed a similar deal with Chhattisgarh Government to provide computer-aided education to 52 hostels spread across the state.

With this, the total number of schools in Educomp's ICT portfolio has gone up to 8,912, covering 5.8 million students.
