Educomp acquires 76 pc stake in ThreeBrix

E-learning solutions provider, Educomp Solutions, today said it has acquired 76 per cent stake in ThreeBrix E-Services Pvt Ltd.


MUMBAI: E-learning solutions provider, Educomp Solutions, today said it has acquired 76 per cent stake in ThreeBrix E-Services Pvt Ltd.

The partnership between Educomp Solutions and ThreeBricks would leverage Educomp's large content library for providing tutoring in several ways -- online, offline and through learning centers mainly focused on serving Indian students -- the company informed the BSE.

The company, however, did not disclose any other details of the deal.

ThreeBrix E-Services owns 'The Learning Hour' tutoring service and was started in 2005 by three IIM - Ahmedabad graduates and has gained early success in providing a high quality tutoring service in the Middle East and Dubai markets.

The size of the instructor led tutoring market is over 5,000 crore in India, the company said.

In a separate filing, Educomp said it has bagged a three year order worth Rs 18.30 crore from Haryana government.

The company said it has received a letter of intent from Haryana government for imparting CAL programme in 716 government senior secondary schools in the state.
