CBSE leaves students in lurch with NEET delays
With the counselling scheduled for July 17, the students have been left basking in uncertainty by the CBSE, the MCC and the state government.
“Choice Filling and Locking Facility is Extended till 11:59PM 12th July, 2017. Choices will be locked by MCC Server automatically by 11:59PM 12.07.2017,” the notification said.
Only those candidates who clear this allotment process will be eligible to gain admission into MBBS and BDS courses across the country. As such, only 15 per cent of the seats are reserved for the overall quota, with the rest being under state quota and other reservations.
However, the CBSE still has not released any specifics about the counselling like cut-offs. For example, in Tamil Nadu, 32,570 students cleared the examination but there is no clarity yet, on where they stand on the overall list, in terms of the national quota.
With the counselling scheduled for July 17, this is a point of stress for the students, who have been left basking in uncertainty, by the CBSE, the MCC and the state government.
