CBSE class-X result: Dikshit hails Education dept for govt schools' good performance

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit congratulated teachers, students, parents and entire team of Education department for sterling performance of the state government schools in CBSE class X examination.

NEW DELHI: Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today congratulated teachers, students, parents and entire team of Education department for sterling performance of the state government schools in CBSE class X examination.

Delhi Government-run schools in the city achieved a success rate of 99 per cent in the examination results, which was declared yesterday.

"I congratulate the students, teachers, parents and the entire team of Education Department for the spectacular performance of our schools in CBSE class-X examination," Dikshit said.

She complimented the education department for its concerted efforts in improving quality of education.

"The success has been possible with concerted efforts of the Directorate of Education and its innovative approach. The Directorate has been working towards all-round development of students," she said.

The Chief Minister particularly congratulated girls who shone better than the boys this time as well.

The overall percentage of students eligible for qualifying certificate in Delhi region went up from last year's 98.52 per cent to 98.83 per cent this year.
