Cannes Lions Diploma is now within your reach

The Times of India Group and the Advertising Club Bombay (ACB) are jointly offering an opportunity to undergraduate & postgraduate students to earn the prestigious Cannes Lions Academy Diploma.

NEW DELHI: If you are aspiring to be a part of the Indian advertising industry, this is sure to be one welcome addition to your curriculum vitae.

The Times of India Group and the Advertising Club Bombay (ACB) are jointly offering an opportunity to undergraduate & postgraduate students to earn the prestigious Cannes Lions Academy Diploma. The Times Group is the official representative of Cannes Advertising Festival in India.

Students between 18-23 years age and studying advertising, communication or marketing are eligible to take a written test that will be followed by a group discussion and interview.

ACB will sponsor one selected candidate���s seven day trip to the Cannes Advertising Festival 2009. The candidate will also get the Cannes Lions BA Scholarship involving one week of training starting from June 21, 2009.

Possession of a passport is mandatory to apply for the diploma, as the winner will be sent to Cannes. Fluency in English language is another pre-requisite. The application fee is Rs 200 and the last day of registration with the ACB is April 29.

ACB is gung-ho about the initiative and expects a better response from students vis-��-vis last year. Says Bipin Pandit, GM, ACB: ���About 80 students had applied for the diploma last year and we expect a greater number this year.

In the past few years, all the students selected have landed jobs at leading agencies.��� The winner will be declared on May 15.
