Campus offers at XLRI rise 50%

The Campus Recruitment Process (CRP) 2007 at XLRI Jamshedpur ended on a high note with a record-breaking 50% rise in average salary to Rs 12.6 lakh per annum, up from Rs 8.4 lakh per annum last year.

KOLKATA: The Campus Recruitment Process (CRP) 2007 at XLRI Jamshedpur ended on a high note with a record-breaking 50% rise in average salary to Rs 12.6 lakh per annum, up from Rs 8.4 lakh per annum last year. While the average salary stood at Rs 12.6 lakh per annum, the median was Rs 13.06 lakh per annum.

The highest domestic salary offered was Rs 16 lakh per annum, up over 23% from Rs 13 lakh last year. There were 10 foreign offers, with an average of $85,000 and a highest of $100,000.

Consulting majors were among the most active recruiters at XLRI, making 24% of the offers. McKinsey led the pack while Hewitt was the top recruiter with 18 offers, followed by Accenture Business Consulting with 8 offers.

E&Y, KPMG, Stern Stewart, Mercer and first-timer TSMG were other recruiters from the consulting industry. In finance, which accounted for around 30% of the offers during the CRP, profiles ranged from treasury sales, investment banking, risk management, equity research, equity sales and private equity.
