NEW DELHI: BSE Institute Ltd has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with New Zealand’s University of Otago to offer programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The MoU between BSE Institute and University of Otago will give the students an opportunity to study overseas. The offerings are the Master of Professional Accounting (MProfAcct), which is a professionally accredited accounting program aimed at graduates of any discipline who want to pursue a career in accounting, and MBA and The India Immersion Program, whereby the students from New Zealand will get the opportunity to visit India and learn about the Indian Financial Markets, about the Indian economy and also the Indian culture, according to a release.

"New Zealand’s education system is world-class, modern and responsive. What I found most interesting is the fact that it is student centric, and focused on supporting students to problem-solve, process information, work with others, create and innovate," said Ambarish Datta, CEO, BSE Institute Ltd.

Harlene Hayne, Vice- Chancellor from University of Otago said, "This MOU will set the stage for BSE Institute students to transition to Otago in accounting and other related postgraduate programs. There will be exchange and recruitment opportunities, as well as benefits from the relationships that develop between staff, students and, over time, alumni. These relationships may also lead to research collaborations and funding opportunities, and can only add to the very fine reputations of both institutions."
