BSE in pact with IFIM B-school to promote capital market training
Bombay Stock Exchange’s Training Institute, the training division of BSE, is expanding its horizons to promote professional education in capital markets.
“We will train students who want to take the BSE modules. Also, students who have taken up the PG diploma programmes in management with us can also take these BSE modules. It will be part of their course,” said Sanjay Padode, secretary, Centre for Developmental Education, which runs IFIM Business School.
Students from IFIM will now also work with the BSE training institute on various research subjects. “For instance, our students could work on a research topic that could study the low trading volumes that BSE sees in derivatives and the ways in which this can be improved,” Mr Padode added. The training for various BSE modules on derivatives, mutual funds, mergers and acquisitions range between Rs 700-Rs 15,000 for various modules.
IFIM students will also get an opportunity to work with BSE. “Currently, a few of our students are doing their internship programmes with BSE,” he added.
