British Council's orientation for students going to UK

CHENNAI: British Council here is organising a pre-departure orientation on July 16 for students going to the United Kingdom for further studies this year.

The orientation is designed to initiate students into student life in the UK, will assist them with advice on student visa application from visa officers representing the British Deputy High Commission, travel, settling down in the UK, accommodation, health, safety and security, a British Council release said today.

The event, to be held at the council's campus in Anna Salai, would also facilitate interaction with alumni, who will share their experiences of studying in the UK and also to meet other students leaving for the UK and perhaps enrolled in the same institution, it added.
