Binoy Job chosen member of Global Teacher Prize Academy

Job, currently the youngest CEO of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), is the only member from India.

NEW DELHI: Former Director in the PMO Binoy Job has been chosen as a member of the Global Teacher Prize Academy, London, which selects a teacher from across the world for a one million dollar prize.

Job, currently the youngest CEO of the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI), is the only member from India.

The Academy selects from around the world a global teacher who gets a prize of one million dollars.

Constituted by the Varkey Foundation in 2014 to raise the stature of the teaching profession, it is chaired by former US President Bill Clinton.

Binoy Job has earlier been the Editor-in-Chief of 'Development Channel' - a news portal focussing on 'development news' which uses technologies such as IT, Internet, television, mobile with the support of young volunteers to provide access to information.
