Bhimaraya Metri takes charge as a director of IIM Nagpur

NEW DELHI: Dr Bhimaraya Metri has taken over charge as a director at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur.

Dr Metri has taken over from L S Murty, who was the director of IIM Nagpur from 2017 to 2020. Prior to joining IIM Nagpur, Dr Metri served as the director of IIM Trichy, following stints at the L&T Institute of Project Management Vadodara, MDI Gurgaon, IMI New Delhi, and BITS Pilani.

A Ph.D. from IIT Powai, he is also an alumnus of the Government College of Engineering, Karad, and Shivaji University, Kolhapur, according to a statement from IIM Nagpur.


Currently, he is serving as chairperson of various national institutions, such as the All India Board of Management Studies, AICTE, AIMA Board of Studies and HR & Innovation Committee, Bureau of Indian Standards.
