Bharti Foundation signs MoU with Rajasthan

Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises on Friday signed an agreement with Rajasthan government to work with state-run schools to improve the quality of education in government schools.


NEW DELHI: Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises on Friday signed an agreement with Rajasthan government to work with state-run schools to improve the quality of education in government schools.

Under its School Improvement Program, Bharti Foundation would work with 50 primary schools towards improving quality of education being imparted to children in these schools, it said in a release.

"Bharti Foundation is committed to helping underprivilaged children of India realise their potential. We have plans to establish 1000 primary schools across the country under the Satya Bharti School programme," Bharti Enterprise Vice Chairman Rakesh Bharti Mittal.

He said the school improvement programme would compliment Bharti Foundation's activities and help in substantially improving quality of education in government schools.

Recently, Bharti Foundation had announced plans to set up 1000 village primary schools across the country under the Satya Bharti School programme.

The objective of the programme is to make high-quality education available to the poor, out-of-school, migrant children and also girl child. These schools would be in addition to the 50 schools which the foundation would partner under the School Improvement Programme.
