Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry launches its third certificate course on indirect taxes

The course covers excise, customs, GST, service tax, CENVAT credit rules value added tax, FTP etc. under the overall guidance of Timir Baran Chatterjee.

KOLKATA: The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry's indirect tax launched a three-month certificate course on indirect taxes for professionals in December, 2015. The course covers excise, customs, GST, service tax, CENVAT credit rules both excise or service tax, value added tax, FTP, duty draw back etc. under the overall guidance of Timir Baran Chatterjee, chairperson, indirect taxes committee, BCC&I & CCO, legal and corporate affairs, DIC India.

In a release issued on Tuesday, BCCI said the training programme aimed at taxation professionals is expected to improve their operational efficiency. More than 25 senior and mid-level executives from different sectors have joined the course. This is the third successive course since it was launched by the chamber in 2014.
