Australia’s Macquarie University ties up with Symbiosis and TA Pai institute

The MoU with TAPMI is aimed at TAPMI providing expertise and know-how for setting up an on-campus finance laboratory at Macquarie University.

NEW DELHI: Australia’s Macquarie University has inked agreements with Symbiosis International University, Pune, and TA Pai Management Institute Manipal ( TAPMI) in a bid to strengthen ties in management education.

Macquarie University was ranked number 1 in Australia and 18th in the world in ‘Top 50 under 50’ 2013 Rankings by higher education, career information and solutions firm Quacquarelli Symonds. It is in talks with ISB and IMT Ghaziabad and has tie-ups with SP Jain Institute of Management & Research and XLRI Jamshedpur.

The MoU with TAPMI is aimed at TAPMI providing expertise and know-how for setting up an on-campus finance laboratory at Macquarie University. The MoU with Symbiosis will include webinars, short programme delivery to students, staff exchange and a research collaboration.

“Our faculty has connections in China. As China started to slow down we were looking at other economies like South America and India,” says Mark Gabbott, executive dean, faculty of business and economics at Macquarie University.
