Assam, Australia’s Curtin University sign MoUs on technical education

The new agreements include a collaborative programme of research and research training under which a Centre for Advancement in Education and Research will be set up in Assam.

GUWAHATI: The Assam government’s Department of Higher (Technical) Education has signed three memorandums of understanding with Australia’s Curtin University to work on improving the quality of technical education in the northeastern state.

The department already has an arrangement with Curtin University for a project on improving the quality of technical education.

The new agreements include a collaborative programme of research and research training under which a Centre for Advancement in Education and Research will be set up in Assam.

According to the Assam government, the projects will facilitate 15 people from the state to get educational experience at Curtin University for teaching and learning methods as well as research works.
