Accenture ties with NMIMS for innovation centre

BANGALORE: Consulting and technology services firm Accenture set up an innovation centre for ERP at Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering (MPSTME), under Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).

The first batch of students from MPSTME's Computer and IT engineering departments were trained in Oracle ERP Business Suite. "This initiative will further strengthen our partnership with NMIMS University and will give that extra edge to the students of Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management and Engineering," said Shantiprakash Motwani, Vice President, Accenture. The training was conducted over a 50 hours and included several advanced topics giving an exposure to the Business Suite

"It is the need of the hour to equip students with things that are current, relevant, industry-oriented and applicable immediately after they hop on to the corporate bandwagon," said Sharad Mhaiskar, Dean, MPSTME.
