ACC opens technology institute in Chhattisgarh

MUMBAI: Cement manufacturer ACC Cements on Monday inaugurated a technology institute in Durg, Chhattisgarh.

Located near the company's Jamul plant, ACC Cement Technology Institute (ACTI), would train diploma engineers to serve as frontline managers in its cement plants, a company release here said.

"This institute is an effort on the part of the company to partner with the community in providing employment opportunities for the youth," company Managing Director Sumit Banerjee said.

The institute would offer an advanced programme in cement technology which would begin from this month, the release added.
