50000 applicants for 145 seats and still counting

PUDUCHERRY: As many as 50,000 applications have been received for admission to the first MBBS course (2013-2014) in the Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research here.

The last date for submission of applications on line is May 4, a spokesman of the institute said.

The first MBBS course has 145 seats including four seats for the candidates under Central pool.The entrance exam is slated for June 2.
