17 students score a 100 percentile in CAT 2015; only one of them is a woman

Around 1814 students have scored above 99 percentile; while the number of students who’ve scored above a 95 percentile is 9003.

MUMBAI: 17 students have scored a 100 percentile in CAT 2015, data from IIM Ahmedabad, the organising IIM has revealed. Every single one of them is from an engineering background, only one is a woman.

Around 1814 students have scored above 99 percentile; while the number of students who’ve scored above a 95 percentile is 9003.

This year, around 2.18 lakh students had registered for the CAT, while the number of students who sat for the exam was approximately 1.79 lakh. This included 1,21,291 males; 58,270 women and 41 transgenders.

While the number of women test takers has gone up 13.8% compared to last year’s 51217, the number of male test takers has gone up just about 4% from last year’s 116612. No transgenders had registered for CAT 2014.
