Singapore firm launches operations in India

Singapore-based contact centre consultancy firm OmniTouch on Friday announced the launch of its operations in India.

NEW DELHI: Singapore-based contact centre consultancy firm OmniTouch on Friday announced the launch of its operations in India.

The company had ventured into the Indian market early this year by setting up an office in Delhi, a company release said.

OmniTouch, which is affiliated to various global organisations such as International Customer Management Institute (ICMI) and the Call Centre Industry Advisory Council, provides access to global standard of performances with implementation at the local market level.

It has provided consultancy services to India's leading contact centres such as Convergys, Scope International Avaya Global Connect, HDFC, Idea Cellular and Bharti Televentures, it said.

"India is indeed an excellent market that is engaging with clients all over the globe. However, key areas of service excellence and customer experience still remain weak...the need for a specialised training and consulting organisation supporting the contact centre industry with structured solutions is very evident today," OmniTouch South Asia Director Mahesh Punia said.

The company is confident in establishing a strong foothold in the sub-continent in the coming months, it said.
