Price Waterhouse looking to set up base in GIFT city amid influx of MNCs

Price Waterhouse is set to open an office in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) as more multinational clients start moving to the new financial services centre, two people aware of the development said.

The affiliate of PricewaterhouseCoopers is looking to rope in senior executives and partners who will look after the operations from the financial centre near the Gujarat capital of Gandhinagar.

It will be the second of the Big Four professional services firms to set up operations in Gift City after KPMG.


The firm didn't respond to the ET’s queries till press time Thursday.

JP Morgan, Punjab National Bank and KPMG are among the latest firms at GIFT City's gate, ET reported on Wednesday.

The number of entities at GIFT City rose to 265 this year from 140 in 2019, with banking transactions exceeding $125 billion in value by August.
