Policy Bazaar ups marketing spend, ropes in comedian Kapil Sharma as brand ambassador
The online financial services platform has roped in actor-comedian Kapil Sharma as its brand ambassador, and increased its marketing budget by four times.
“We wanted to take forward the humorous approach that we had taken in our previously highly successful ad campaign. Kapil Sharma, being India's favorite actor comedian, was a natural choice, given his mass appeal with our target audience,” Naveen Kukreja, Group CMO, PolicyBazaar, said.?
Last year, the company had hired Lowe Lintas as its creative agency. The multi-media campaign, which will have 10 television commercials featuring Sharma, will kick off in the next few days, Kukreja said.
PolicyBazaar, launched in 2008 by Yashish Dahiya and Alok Bansal, is backed by investors including ?InfoEdge (Naukri.com), Intel Capital, Inventus Capital, Ribbit Capital, Premji Invest, Steadview Capital Management and Tiger Global Management. It has raised Rs 410 crore till now.
