G2 acquires majority stake in domestic firm

Global marketing services provider G2 Worldwide on Tuesday said it has acquired a majority stake in relationship management firm Chateux Hospitality for an undisclosed amount.

MUMBAI: Global marketing services provider G2 Worldwide on Tuesday said it has acquired a majority stake in relationship management firm Chateux Hospitality for an undisclosed amount.

Based in Gurgaon, Chateux is a leading player in customised solutions in activation marketing and has offices in Mumbai and Bangalore.

G2 Wordlwide acquired a US-based refinery and Chinese firm Star Echo last year as a part of its global expansion strategy, the company said.

"We are committed to deepen the company's position as a global activation communications leader in the current year. Our acquisition of Chateux advances us further toward our global goal of creating a true end-to-end model," G2's Global Chairman and CEO Joe Celia said.

Chateux Hospitality has 148 employees in the country and and has a large client-base, which include American Express, GE, GlaxoSmithKline, AIG, Nestle, Eli Lilly, HP India and Hero Honda, company said.

G2, which is a partner company of Grey Group, has 86 offices spread in 42 countries, the company said.
