Bengal taps Crisil for core sector requirements
The West Bengal government has engaged credit-rating agency and consultancy firm Crisil to prepare a document on the emerging requirement for infrastructure in the state.
“This has assumed greater importance as the Centre has declared a ‘Look East’ policy which is expected to boost trade in the region. The study will also be undertaken with special reference to infrastructure requirement in north Bengal.
It will outline the kind of infrastructure required to meet future demand and projects that may be undertaken,” said Nirupam Sen, West Bengal’s commerce and industries minister, at CII’s logistics conference here on Tuesday.
