Visa ropes in Sidhu to promote sponsorship

NEW DELHI: Cricket commentator Navjot Singh Sidhu has been roped in by Visa International to promote the company's sponsorship of the upcoming ICC cricket tournament.

Sidhu would be involved in Visa's marketing and consumer initiatives in the coming months beginning with the 'Visa Clean Bol' contest that begins tomorrow, the company said in a release on Monday.

Visa is the official regional sponsor and the Preferred Card of the ICC Cricket Tournament for the South Asia region, including Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

"The promotion would help cardholders win packages for the ICC Champions Trophy 2006, while coming up with their Visa Sidhuisms," Visa International Asia Pacific Country Manager South Asia Santanu Mukherjee said.
