uni-ball Pens ropes in Katrina as a brand ambassador
uni-ball Pens has roped in Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif as their brand ambassador.
This is the first time that uni-ball, manufactured by Japan-based Mitsubishi Pencil Co and marketed in India by Linc Pen and Plastics, has opted for a celebrity brand ambassador to endorse their products.
"She has a great connect with the urban youth of our country... For a pen that is largely aimed at college students and young working professionals, Katrina will definitely infuse fresh energy and vivaciousness," said Deepak Jalan, managing director of Linc Pen & Plastics.
The company, whose products fall in the price range starting from Rs 30 to Rs 200, will soon be launching a multimedia campaign featuring the actress.
"I am excited about being the face of a youthful, high-quality international brand like uni-ball which I have personally grown up with in UK; and I particularly love uni-ball Jetstream, which I think, is the smoothest pen in the world," Katrina said.
Uniball has been growing steadily at about 20 per cent annually in the highly-fragmented writing instruments market in the country.
